After several weeks, we finally killed the Bastard. Let the celebration ensue. Congrats to Evilus on his tanking weapon of relic quality, and congrats to Gambo for the first T3 chest piece. Turbe received the essence.

Hopefully now we can clear GS completely in one evening and move on further in River of Souls on progression nights.

Further, I just want to add that we will be recruiting a few more people. Attendance has been sketchy on some nights, so I think there is room for about 3-5 more active players. This will also help with a few of our members committing to a short term lower playtime due to RL.

Just a quick update for the front page.

We are 4/5 in GSB with Lord Greenscale down to 16% on our best attempt. Should be dead shortly.

We have killed Warmaster and the Dark Foci in RoS, and expect to kill some more RoS in the coming week or so.

We've Killed Anrak in GP and we have the 2nd boss down to 15%.

Great Job on the Hylas Kill!

Greenscale is next, so make sure that you are all watching the videos and reading about the fight. Also please read up on River of Souls. We will be clearing GSB and RS on separate nights before you know it so it is important that everyone is prepared and has a vague idea of what these fights entails. If we continue at the rate we are going at, we will catch the only guild that is ahead of us in no time.

Recruitment:

Congrats to Heyevwebody and Hymn who have joined the guild. In the future we hope to add about 3-5 more players, preferably of the Mage/Cleric Classes to bolster our roster to about 23-28 Regular raiders. Ensuring that we always have players available on raid night, but allowing us some breathing room in case people need to bounce for RL events.

On Handling 20+ Players on Raid Night:

A.) The first 20 players online ready for invites at 10 mins before Raid Time will receive invites.

B.) If we have more than 20 players online 10 mins before Raid Time, the Raid leaders will use discretion in order to create a makeup that is balanced and puts the guild in a successful position to progress and/or clear content. If you attend the raid, it is expected that you stay the entire scheduled time, especially if someone else is sitting out. Obviously RL issues come up, but no one wants to hear that you need to bounce an hour into a raid because you got invited to a party. Not fair to the raid, and most likely you'll move to the bottom of the list for invites.

C.) If it is determined an individual will be asked to sit out for a raid, they will have priority seating in the next Raid they attended as long as they adhere to section D below. Attendance and Loot Distribution is tracked in the AU Loot Distribution Thread <Click Here>.

D.) Spots are not necessarily guaranteed. It is important that you address issues that your class officers present to you. For example, if it is determined that you have equipment needs (Including Source Engines) that need to be addressed outside of a Raid Dungeon. It is expected that you will make an effort to improve these before the next Raid. This could be spec related, dps related, or gear related. We will still maintain our easy going fun attitude at AU, but it is decidedly unfair to distribute loot and provide seating to individuals that repeatedly come unprepared to Raid events. So far this has not been an issue, but with more individuals geared and ready to go, the few spots that we have filled with under-geared players will shrink considerably.

That said, Great Job on Hylas. Can't wait to get some attempts on Greenscale himself!!!

What a great week of Raiding. After officially only having 3 raids, we are 60% done with Greenscale's Blight! However, it is probably the easiest 60%. We still have two formidable bosses to put down, so it's important that we maintain our great attitude and preparedness on raid nights. Thank you everyone who has participated. The Officers have had a great time running Raid night, and so far it's been a TON of fun. We've done a great job, and really, everyone take a pat on the back for the progress we've made in just a weeks time.

A few notes real quick on our guild progress.

Prince Hylas, Greenscale, River of Souls
Everyone please jump on youtube and watch the bosses in these encounters. We are getting to the point where we may end up fighting anything that is raid content in the game on any given night, so it is important that we all have a vague idea of what the fights will entail ahead of time. That way Raid Leaders can more easily guide us to success.

Easter Sunday
Obviously one of our raid nights falls on Easter Sunday this week. Please do not avoid contact or cut short visits with family to make the Raid. Worst case scenario the guild will break off and do PvP or a raid rift if turnout does not fit the bill.

Recruitment
Firstly, We are still going to continue recruiting a few more spots in the guild. Even though we successfully filled our raid, it is important that we have off players and reserves in case individuals cannot make it, go on vacation, ect. Therefor it is extremely important that everyone show up on time if they plan on raiding. Even being a few minutes late can cost you a spot, and while unfortunate, you will just have to listen to 20 people attempt awesome and miss out on the loot.

If turnout continues to be good, we may turn to alternative forms of raid management to make sure everyone has a good shot at raiding. We do not want anyone to feel left out or not involved. However, that said, you are your own man. Merely being in the guild does not necessarily guarantee you a spot. You should be an active participant both in game and in the forums from time to time. Trust us to make sure everyone has a great time and feels involved, and as always, Guild Officers all have an open door Policy on anything that concerns you.

Loot
So far loot distribution has been a blast. We've given out so many purples and many of them were well deserved. We will continue to do our best to ensure everyone gets a fair shot at loot and continue or system of gearing up and replacing pieces of gear that are most beneficial to all. That said, if you haven't gotten a piece yet, just hang in there, you are due

Many of you have approached me about the inaccessibility of one of the raiding nights. I understand and it is definitely a task getting a guild full of people available at the same time, twice a week. We will do our best to make sure everyone has equal opportunities to participate. However, please give us a hand and go into the raid night thread and post your schedule so we have an idea of where everyone is at. Currently the status quo will remain unchanged, but that does not mean if we find a solution that works out better we won't jump on it. Check out the thread for further details.
